Christmas this year was such a success! Skoot and I did a fantastic gift exchange this year. He got me a BEAUTIFUL Armoire that holds my jewelery as a gift card to buy new clippers and T edgers(mine are getting a little trashed) along with a few other wonderful gifts. Since skoot bought himself a blu-ray player for Christmas (He'd had his eye on it for months and it was on sale in the end of NOV.) he didn't want me to spend too much on him. Instead of Spending lots of money, I bought him a few great Blu Rays for his player, some cologne that is just YUMMY, and I made him an AMAZING magazine full of memories and stories from people that he's known throughout his life--He loved it so much! We both had an emotional morning as he read through all the great things his friends and family had to say about him{This idea was courtesy of the FANTASTIC ladies at thedatingdivas.blogspot.com}Bentley is so funny on Christmas, he gets SUPER STOKED to open his stocking! I have no idea how he knows it's his!!Also, my Mom and Marcus bought us a steamer for our carpet. Upon opening this present, I did my happy dance! It is so funny how perspective changes as you grow older. The fact that Skoot and I were SO EXCITED for our steamer is so funny because four years ago, it would've been the most random present ever, and it was our favorite of this Christmas season! Our friend gift exchange was also a success! We really are so blessed to have the friends and family that we do. . . It is such a wonderful feeling.

Skoot 's surgery

Skoot finally has had surgery on his deviated septum! This calls for a celebration: HOORAY!!!! This all started quite a few months back when we realized that his stuffy nose kept getting worse and worse. This got to the point that he was blowing his nose 6-10 times every day. We sent him to an ear nose and throat Dr. where he had a scratch test performed. . Surprise: skoot is allergic to basically EVERYTHING(even cockroaches, YUCK!!) It was at this appointment that we also found out about his deviated septum. This was caused by trauma to his nose sustained as a VERY small child. He was trying to jump rope with the drawstring from his shorts(which was way too short) when he tripped himself and landed on his face. . Who would've thought that something happening back when he was a child would cause him so many issues now. The Dr told him that it was a combination of the two that cause his troubles with breathing!Well, after a few months, we met our deductible and decided to go through with the surgery. Everything went great! He was a little woozy when he first came out of surgery but he was quite a funny Character!

Thanksgiving and our New Table!!

Thanksgiving this year was pretty mellow. . . Which is a great thing!My mom made another of her fantastic Thanksgiving dinners and at Skoot's parent's we got together and ate Turkey, Chile Verde and potatoes( in a burrito of course, lol). This year for black Friday, Skoot and I went shopping and in that one day we got most of our holiday shopping done! Yay for Success!! As for our present to ourselves, We had already made our big purchase! That great purchase being a new Dining room set!!!! It is so fantastic! Conveniently, we bought it the week of Thanksgiving so it was not ready at the warehouse until the Monday after. . Here are some pics of it:

This is Halloween

Awe, nothing like a great road trip! This year for Thriller, we decided to drive up to St. George to see Andy's cast. We drove up on Friday night because of my great luck with not having class! We stayed at Skoot's grandparent's house in Mesquite so it was quite a drive in the dark. On Saturday, we all lazed around a bit, with the boys playing scrabble on their phones and brandy playing her DS (they were all laying on our blow up mattress, super cute pic). After a relaxing day,we got ready and drove to St George to see thriller at Tuacahn Theatre. The show was FANTASTIC and I thought Tuacahn was BEAUTIFUL!!The stars and moon were such a pretty back drop but it also made a show a little spookier :)For Halloween on sunday we drove up to Vegas. We had a TON of fun shopping at the outlet malls during the day and then we went to Skoot's cousin Tina's house to get ready. It was such a BLAST walking Freemont Street and having so many people stop and ask us to take a picture with them. There are a million great memories from this night and I really had a great time Here's a few pics from our trip:

Pumpkin Carving

I have decided that I should become a professional pumpkin carver. .. except I would have to pay someone to gut it for me cuz pretty sure I HATE that feeling on my skin. . . .Anyway, For one of our game nights this month, we had a pumpkin carving night that turned out to be a huge success!! Chanelle was pretty legit in bringing her own carving tools and she had the HUGEST PUMPKIN EVER!! Skoot was so fast that he carved two pumpkins in the time that it took everyone else to carve one( he made the cute bone for Bentley as well as his bat) Everyone's pumpkins turned out great though! For my Mom's Birthday, we spent the day at lagoon with the Fam. My Mom, Me, Skoot, Marcus, Daryl and Mookie all went and we had a blast!! We watched Michelle,Emily and Lexi Perform for The Lagoon Entertainment and It took me back to our days at on stage. . . My mom and Skoot even road the sky coaster, the giant swing that you have to pull the rip cord to send yourself to your death. . . Or at least that's how I feel about it, lol. Pretty sure Samurai and Colossus are still my two favorite rides! We even met up with Tannaz and had a pic taken at Pioneer Village. Good times, I LOVE going to Lagoon :)

My lil Bro: The Graduate

Lil D is 18 and a High School Graduate!! How weird for me to remember all the times my little bro made me crazy and now he's a man!! For his special day, Marcus and I went to Jamin's graduation BBQ that his family threw for all the friends. It was really fun! There was AWESOME food and it was really nice to be able to meet the family members of Daryl's Best Friends Jamin, Jentz, Mookie and Louise. The boys all stripped off their shirts and played water baseball, pretty hilarious! You use a plastic ball and an oversized bat. The bases are the blue plastic kid pools and home base is a tarp with dish soap all over it so you can slide into home, lol Marcus and I had a fun time watching those guys slipping all over the place.After the BBQ we headed home to change and then to the graduation ceremony. . Pretty sure it wasn't THAT long and boring when I graduated, lol. Don't worry though, we made a TON of noise when they announced D's name. Afterwards, me, skoot, my mom and marcus headed to Denny's for dinner and then went home. All in all, a great day for daryl. Also on the weekend my mom and I hosted a Graduation BBQ for Daryl at the park by my house. It was a great turn out with many family members coming to congratulate Daryl. It was a successful day but a tiring one nonetheless. Here are some pics from those two days:

Skoot's 24th Birthday!

For Skoot's Birthday this year we went out of town! We drove to St. George on Friday night and had to brave the INSANE rainstorm driving out of Salt lake to get there. We stayed at Brooks' family vacation house for the night, which can I say this house was Beautful! It makes me wonder what their house looks like here in salt lake if their house out there is so amazing!Lindsey and Brooks brought their puppy Simba with them on the trip and he is such a cute little guy but a little DEVIL dog!! On Saturday morning we went out to breakfast in St George and then drove out to Vegas. Skoot and I had a ton of fun driving out there singing at the top of our lungs with nothing but blue skies ahead!We went shopping at the outlet malls and found a ton of great stuff! At night we met up with Lindsey and Brooks on the strip, went for a drink in ceasar's palace and then we walked the strip for a while till we went to the Cirque show Mystere. Those guys are SO AMAZING!! After the show we were exhausted and drove back to st george for the night. On sunday we went on a little hike to see the beautiful red rock out there and then skoot and I went for a drive to take in all the scenery. Driving home on Monday was skoot's actual birthday and It was crazy cuz there was snow on the ground when we got to Utah. We had such a great time for our mini Vacay and I can't wait to make it out there again!! Here's a few pics from our trip:

Lil D's Birthday

Today is Daryl's Birthday!! He is the big 18. It is so crazy to think that my little bro is all grown up and about to graduate from high school. For his birthday, Daryl, Marcus, My Mom,Skoot,Me,Jamin,and Louise rode the front runner up to Ogden to do the I fly and Flow Rider. It was the first time I had ridden the Front Runner and that alone was quite the adventure. Though I must say that in all the ride up there and back was quite enjoyable. When we first arrived in Ogden, we had to walk a few blocks up to the Salomon center and it was a pretty hot day. The building is pretty huge and impressive for being in Ogden. Daryl, his friends, and Skoot all did the flow rider and they kept getting shown up by a group of older guys in the lane next to them. Poor Skoot took some pretty serious spills but Daryl soon got the hang of it and by the end of their session seemed like a seasoned pro. Next was the I Fly. Loiuse was the only one of the three boys that had already done this before so he was pretty good at it. He kept drooling though and you know how I am with saliva.. . Pretty sure I was gagging for a good portion of his turn. We have pretty good video of Daryl's and Jamin's turns though. Next we went down to the arcade where Jentz and Mookie(two of Daryl's other friends that were supposed to come with us but had a lacrosse game that day) met up with us and we ate pizza. Those boys can EAT! After playing around in the arcade for a bit it was time to go home.It was such an eventful day and I think all in all everyone had fun. I was really surprised that on the ride home I was so EXHAUSTED and all I did was watch everything!Here are some pics of D and his friends

So, My in law called me and apologized for being so horrid to me all these years. I was really caught off guard because she has never been one to apologize for anything and so I didn't really have much to say to her on the phone. I decided to write her a letter because It's a lot easier to organize my thoughts if I can see them on paper. I think my letter is very direct and even a little harsh but I feel that these were all things that need to be said and I have held my tongue for long enough. Don't get me wrong, I don't just go off on her,I stayed respectful( as I always have)it was more like me telling her specific ways she has wronged me and how that made me feel. I hope this will get through that many of her actions have not just affected me but hurt her son and their relationship. Here's me being hopeful that we can move forward and at least have some sort of civil relationship.

I love it when people have to take it upon themselves to start drama when they don't even know what was said or even what happened in a certain event because they weren't even there for it! THIS IS WHY I cannot stand people that cause drama. Oh, well, best thing is that it reinforces the idea that I just needed to cut that out of my life a long time ago. *Cheers to getting rid of the girls that make other people's business their own.

Interesting to find out the Blaze is trying to come back with NO ONE of the original management. . Not the same owner, GM or even Dance Coach. . and only one dancer from the original blaze even made it back (although only like 3 tried out)I think more would have had they known it was the Blaze instead of the team name being a secret until yesterday. . . As my final week of freedom has started, I can't help getting nervous about being a school kid again. Not to mention the idea that Skoot and I will both be in school which means A LOT less time together and considerably less spending money ( and when I say considerably, I mean a very LARGE amount less). On the other hand, I am also very excited to finally be heading in the right direction again and not just kinda standing still as far as my career goes! Skoot's Cousins Diana and Paul are expecting their first baby girl in January so for her shower that is on sunday, I thought I would make a really cute Diaper Cake, which are super handy for the expecting parents since it's used ONLY out of the essentials. For instance, the one I made includes: 3 bottles, 2 Binkies, Baby wash and Baby lotion, Washcloths, 2 cute baby Headbands and Baby Booties.. . .Like I said, Really Handy! I must say though that I have never made one before so I figured I would give it a shot. WOW, Pretty sure I amazed myself at how AWESOME it turned out! Not to mention WAY CUTE!!! Here's a few Pics

How Sweet the Holidays!

I Just LOVE the holidays! I must say though, that I am so glad Christmas is over! It's such a great, romantic, loving, giving time of year but it is WAY too Hectic to enjoy for very long. . Lol, so Skoot, Bentley, Daryl And I all Got Snuggies for Christmas. I'm Not gonna lie, they are pretty Great! HA Who knew!

Anyway, Skoot and I had a Great time on Christmas Morning with just our little family opening presents first. We then went to my mom's to open there and then to his parents' to do their family celebrations and eat lunch. Then we came home to let Bentley out and sneak in a little cat nap and then Back to my mom's for Christmas dinner, Which was absolutely DELIGHTFUL!!! I must say that I do love to eat and what better time than the holidays!! Merry Christmas Everyone! Hope it was great for all!

3 JOYS

1. My happy and healthy family: I love my brother daryl and my mom and marcus more than I can even Imagine. We have been through a lot as a family and I am blessed that we are all healthy! I am also happy that despite anything else going on, I am still able to keep in contact with my brothers and sisters as well as my nieces and nephews.

2. My marriage: I am proud to be able to wake up next to my husband every morning and to know that he is mine forever!He is my everything and I am so blessed to have found my prince charming at such a young age. I am so excited that we get to grow old together!

3. Our amazing home: How many people can say that they owned a STUNNING NEW HOUSE At the age of 21! I am so happy that we have such a great, happy place to come home to everyday. Such an amazing place to make memories and to start a family in.

3 FEARS

1. Losing my spouse: I could never even imagine losing skoot. He is my second half and I would not be able to live without him, I would feel like a part of me is missing for the rest of my life.

2. I am such a nervous wreck when it comes to driving: I am sure that I drive skoot nuts because I am ALWAYS on edge when I am in the car with him. This just goes back to line one of this section that I am so scared of losing skoot that I am overly cautious when he is driving.I am deathly afraid of losing him in a wreck.

3. Not having healthy babies: I know I will love them the same as if they are healthy But it is a HUGE fear of mine that our babies will have some serious birth defect and we will lose our baby. . . I know quite a few people that have had this very thing happen to them and I just have so much respect for how they were able to cope as a family and to get through such a grave tragedy together.

3 OBSESSIONS

1.Baby Names: You would not believe how obsessed I am with baby names. Even though skoot and I are trying to wait another 4 years to start trying to build our family, I am constantly bringing up names to him to see what he thinks. We can never agree on any so I want us to be on page now rather than giving birth and not being able to decide on any names because we can't agree on anything, lol crazy, I know.

2.SHOES!! Currently I am more obsessed with high tops than anything else but it really goes back and forth between those and pumps. I basically feel that I need a pair of shoes for every color imaginable.

3. Great smelling cologne: I cannot even begin to describe how much I love the cologne skoot wears. We even found one recently that smells even better than mambo
(which is my favorite on him) and I am pretty sure I wanted to jump his bones there in the store, lol!

3 FACTS ABOUT ME

1.I can watch any movie and be inspired to do whatever the movie was about. Not even kidding, I have even considered playing hockey after watching the mighty ducks!

2. I wish I was an artist. I would LOVE to be able to paint or draw beautiful pictures and hang them in our home.

3. I am a self proclaimed amazing party planner. For quite some time I even wanted to be a wedding planner to take advantage of this amazing gift.

We put up our Christmas tree on black friday! We had so much fun listening to Christmas tunes and wrapping the first round of presents. . . we have yet to finish shopping but the month is still young :) Lol, Bentley got himself wrapped up in the garland before we could even do much and by the time we were done he was exhausted!! I love our tree! It's so perfect (especially how pretty our tree skirt is) and I'm so excited for christmas! I think winter time is so romantic. . even though I hate the cold weather, lol you can't win em all

Halloween Festivities

So we had a Hoppin halloween party this year!Great turnout with tonz of great food (as usual) and this time we even purchased a keg,though there was a lot of it left over. Funny story of the night is that there was a group of about 6 to 10 people that neither skoot or I knew. One of them was told he couldn't smoke in the garage. .. His genious response " what do you own the place or something?" I'm sure you can guess skoot's response and maybe even see the expression he had as he said: . .. "Yes, actually, this IS my damn house" lol, the look on that guy's face was priceless.. . Jada wowed us all with her awesome booty shakin moves and my lil bro and his friends were also entertaining as they did the stanky leg and the jerk for us all . .. We had a lot of fun with the costume contest which included some pretty great struts down the catwalk . . . all in all, another great party success!

I love Halloween!! It is so much fun to decorate and come up with awesome costumes!!! Not to mention the bangin parties!!! I think I really just love this time of year. . . Halloween, then birthday celebrations and of course Thanksgiving and Christmas!!!! Been married a year as of today! Skoot and I had a really great day, it was just so relaxing! For my present to him, we took a little trip to the spa! A couples soak and an hour long couples massage was just what we needed to unwind from our crazy schedules! Skoot took me to cirque du soleil's SALTIMBANCO! He also bought me the cutest diamond earrings! Whoever said the first year of marriage was the hardest is crazy! Maybe we are just two peas in a pod, lol!

We have now been living in our house for like a week and a half!! LOVE IT!! We still need to paint one of the bathrooms and our two spare bedrooms but they are just being painted by our preference, it's not like we NEED to paint them! Still putting up all the pics and everything to make it feel like home. Bentley is still a little sketch and follows us from room to room but I think he is adjusting pretty well to his new place. . . We will be having a housewarming party sometime in the next month and I will be putting updated pics up soon!!

Skoot and I are so excited to be moving into our dream home!! We are just waiting to close on Tuesday!! Hopefully we'll have the keys by wednesday so we can start moving everything before the weekend!Funny that I had no idea we'd have to close during normal bank hours, lol oops. . . I had to ask to leave work early on tuesday at the last minute, good thing my boss loves me so much ;) Our Apartment is almost completely packed and Bentley doesn't know what to do with himself because there are boxes all over the place!!! Yay, We are so excited!!!! 2 days and counting!!!

YAY! we are finally getting some Authentic June Weather! As a result: Sunday Swim is back in comission!! Basically what happens is every sunday we go swimming at our apartment complex, and we usually invite a few friends to come hang out. Afterwards we continue with our game night tradition!! I don't have any pics from yesterday but these are a few from a couple sundays back!Scott,Andy, Alex,Margery and her fam, and Marissa and Joe were there to help us kick of the official SS of the season!!! What will we do to keep the tradition alive when we move???? Hopefully someone can help us build on it!!

So, I just recently went to a family gathering(we've actually been invited to one!) and It made me realize how torn my family is ever since my abuelita passed away. . I have so many cousins that I never get to see because our family is feuding over something that happened so long ago! I feel that we are caught in a battle that we aren't even fighting.I have no idea what they are even fighting for or who chose my side for me! If my abuelita's kids want to fight over something then let them but they shouldn't drag all of us cousins into it too. It is ridiculous that I cannot invite my whole family to our WEDDING even without some people saying that they will not go if certain people are there. Can't they grow up and realize that you are there to show your support to your family, can't they be adults and put away their differences for one day? Of Course not! I have a cousin that didn't show up to my weddding because she said I didn't go to hers. . . Pretty sure I was MAYBE 10 when she got married!!! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!?!? And her mom can look right through me and walk right past me when she sees me. . . The only one in that little fam that I can say still realizes what a family is would be my uncle. Regardless of what is going on, he will still come and say hi and give us hugs to show that he still cares. . . Some families need to realize that fighting over something trivial is not worth a whole lifetime of loneliness

We have Found a House!!!! Skoot and I are in the process of buying our first house! We are so excited! It is in West Jordan, and I absolutely love it! It's actually kinda funny because we found this house on the first day we started looking. It was seriously like the 5th house we had looked at. Our Realtor was saying that he had seen very few people get excited about any house like I did with this one . . Of course to make everyone happy(and Satisfied) we went and looked at about fifteen more. We eventually had to decide between this one or one in Herriman. It was a really hard decision because each house had some things we liked that the other house didn't. . . but our feelings were mutual that this was our dream home!!! It is such an amazing thing to be able to say that I am accomplished enough to buy a house at the age of 21! We close on July 14th!!!

Skoot's Birthday BBQ

So, for Skoot's birthday this year we decided to have a chill BBQ(He thinks that 23 is not worth celebrating)and we had a really great turnout, Skoot didn't even think he knew that many people!! We made so much food!! Lol, shis-kabobs, burgers and hot dogs, not to mention a ton of salads and fruit and cake and just a whole lot of food delightfulness! It rained most of the day but luckily we were at his parents' house and they have a big covered deck so it wasn't a huge party spoiler. . . lol I did get a little mad that I was stuck grilling the whole time, hence the pic of me looking pissed! I must say though, for it being my first time on the grill, I sure did a damn good job! Special thanks to marissa for being my grill mate!

So we went to Applebee's last night for Amy and Missy's birthday. . .First of all, It's a damn good thing that Skoot and I got a gift card for Christmas, otherwise I would have been pissed!!! Our waiter didn't know anything about the menu, Our food was all way cold when it came out and he wasn't even busy! We saw him chillin right next to the server station chattin it up with his buddy!We were never checked on once our food was out, it took FOREVER to get our checks . . I was just SO not impressed. Maybe I'm really hard on servers because I've been one but that was SERIOUSLY really bad.. Anyway, on to the rest of the night: We went to the hotel afterward and I had so much fun!!We were on the VIP list so we got in for free! Pretty sure Chanelle was lame for not showing up. She bailed and didn't even say anything till I tried to verify that she was coming, HOW RETARDED!! Ha I had such a Blast though!*I LOVE TO DANCE* I also need to go out more often, it is such a stress reliever!! Anyhoo, I have some of the hottest friends ever, lol, probably cuz they're my Blaze ladies!!

Yesterday as Skoot and I were watching the news, we learned from our trusty weatherman that this coming week is supposed to be our coldest week yet this winter! How do I feel about that? HORRIBLE! I need to just go live in Hawaii like Jodie did or maybe just go on our Honeymoon again to Riviera Maya. Don't those pics from our Honeymoon just look too perfect? Like postcards, I think. Well, Maybe we will go on a vacation to the beach sometime soon, until then, I'll just have to daydream about perfect weather somewhere. I need to get out of this snow capped land

On this day In February I will have been married for exactly 6 months! Isn't that a trip?!? I cannot believe it has already been that long!
